The magic of loosing teeth

So today my youngest son lost his first tooth.  Here's the mug shot:

He is so very excited to have lost his tooth.  His excitement is quite contagious and it brought me back to the special time when I was his age and I had lost my first tooth.  Still, it would have been altogether to easy to have just half-heartedly acknowledged this once-in-a-lifetime event.

But by letting myself share in his joy, it became a special magical happening for all of us.
