Hidden away
out of sight.
I smile in the darkness
waiting to be found.
Too much toil
far too much.
Then I am left behind
forgotten by all.
I am not sad
not at all.
You see I blame no one
I would forget too.
Then you looked down
a grin back.
What did you find down there?
Perhaps a friend?
I bring some joy
for short times.
Then under the hutch
forgotten once more.
